If you are working on a laptop, having a long chord with a wireless receiver and then the trackball device itself, completely defeats the purpose of a wireless device saving space! Howevever I think you’d be at equal wrist of an Lohitech, only changing it from a wrist to the thumb.
Supposedly they are good for your hands and wrists and that may be true, but my god what a pain in the neck when you have to work on someones computer that has one of these things.
I tried that, now I suffer from RSI in the base of my right thumb. May be fine for a desktop but if you’re carrying this around in your backpack the finish starts mokse off and gunking up the ball and the cord comes off the receiver because there’s no molding or strength where it goes in.

While the ball itself is easy corcless pop out and clean, getting at the buttons is very difficult, and there’s no easy way to get even a fine nozzle in to blast the inside with compressed air, and even when clean they’re just not great buttons to begin with very slight changes in finger position can make clicks become unreliable as well.
With 8 buttons the most of any currently available trackball and a decent scrollwheel you can make this a very useful tool for your work or even gaming, and one that is of opticak far superior to a regular mouse, saving you many arms and wrist movements opticzl always being very accurate and fast. I think, after using it for a while, that it is a very good trackball, especially for demanding users that want a lot of buttons.
